Purpose:
In this role,the SIM takes ownership of the validated VPH’s in the "
Applications & Solutions" phase, and has the responsibility to generate
through these VPH’s turnover for the businesses.The SIM leads a multi-
disciplinary team consisting of businesses,(GS) marketing and technology.
The User Interaction specialists / Application researchers within GOAL
support the SIM in this phase.Additionally,the SIM is involved via close
cooperation with global program team and the BU's segment marketing in
defining the longer-term segment strategy,and in continuously filling the
Innovation pipeline for the relevant growth (sub)segments (i.e. urban, road/
street light...).

Responsibility:
The segment innovation manager (SIM) is early involved with the BU's in the
definition & planning phase of BU owned and commissioned projects requiring
GOAL competences and support.In this role,the SIM is helping the client (
internal customer) to determine what his real needs are and in making
decisions. Part of the job is to propose alternative solutions,influencing
the business strategy and exploring and choosing the best to impact the
business turnover.This role requires good contacts with the customers in the
BU's,thorough understanding of the business needs and requirements related
to their mid-to long-term strategic choices.The progress of the BU project
portfolio is monitored through regular project reviews.

Requirements:
• Minimum 8-10 years of work experience.At least 3 years of customer
interfacing experience.
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, with a solid knowledge
of Hardware and Software
• Preferably knowledge in Lighting Technology, especially lighting
applications
• Understanding of multi-cultural characteristics of people’s
behavior
• A strategic thinking mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit to
explore alternatives.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Be a communicator with many different related people and parties,
with strong interpersonal skills
• Be deeply interested in technology; open minded and curious
• Be entrepreneural and creative in finding solutions,take
initiatives
• Working in our international environment requires sufficient
knowledge of English (CET6 or better: reading,writing,speaking)
