Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Travel within the United States and abroad in order to meet with
customers, attend trade shows, and select and monitor suppliers
•Interface with the FAA and other airworthiness authorities to
maintain and secure airworthiness approvals
•Test and evaluate components on internet and in catalogs
•Design and evaluate prototypes
•Provide design support and testing on new, outside product prototypes
•Reduce cost and/or improve quality and durability of product lines
•Improve component and system efficiencies
•Participate in the transition of accepted new product developments
into Manufacturing
•Initiative in project management to bring design projects through
pilot production to closure
•Maintain and report on project progress through timelines, team
meetings and project reports
•Coordinate and approve all submissions of new products and
engineering changes.
•Perform such other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering; Master’s Degree (M.S.
) in Engineering preferred. Mechanical Engineering preferred
Required Skills:
•Good command of English language; good communication skills verbally
and in writing
•Proficient in SolidWorks or other comparable 3D solid modeling
software
•Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
