Challenges
Your tasks will include, but not be limited to:
• Ensure that all DRU protein liquid samples for IV and SC/IM
animal testing at NNST are suitable to support the pharmacological aim of
the test
• Conduct biophysical experiments that can support protein process
development
• Conduct pre-formulation design of selected new proteins with the
aim to produce stable aqueous formulations of proteins suitable for in vitro
and initial in vivo experiments
• Align quality requirements and standards regarding samples for in
vivo testing between pre-formulation and pharmacology to ensure optimal,
high ethical , and consistent use of animals experiments to support protein
projects
Qualifications
• You hold a Ph.D. in protein chemistry and biophysics. Experience
from the pharmaceutical industry is a strong upside.
• You must have
– Service minded attitude and interdisciplinary collaborative skills as
this is a bridging position in the project flow from protein engineering to
in vivo testing.
– Documented Protein knowledge, understanding and experience.
– Documented knowledge of protein behaviour in aqueous solution through
significant biophysical insight.
– Experience with HPLC/UPLC and biophysical techniques such as DLS are
required.
• Understanding of/knowledge of pharmaceutical formulations is a
significant advantage.
• You are flexible, open to new ideas, ambitious, innovative;
result oriented and have a good sense of humour.
• You have authority and thrive in an environment with individual
responsibility and a high degree of personal impact in the projects but at
the same time you are good at collaborating in teams.
• You are good at communicating, able to meet deadlines and keep an
overview.
• You are fluent in English.
