Central Missouri (UCM) invites applications for a non-tenure track
instructor position in Computer Science to begin in August 2013. This
position can be renewable on a year to year basis pending upon performance,
enrollment and budget.
Applicants must have an M.S. degree in Computer Science or a related
professional field (Ph.D. degree preferred). Previous college/university
teaching experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate should be
able to teach one or more of the following courses: Computer Programming,
Data Structures, C and UNIX System Programming, Web Programming, Programming
Languages, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Algorithm Design and
Analysis, Computer Networking, Database, Applications Programming in C# and
.NET, and Android Programming.
The faculty will be expected to teach 12 credit hours per semester at UCM's
Warrensburg campus and/or Central Summit Center in Lee's Summit MO.
UCM is located in Warrensburg, MO, which is 35 miles southeast of the Kansas
City metropolitan area. It is a public comprehensive university with nearly
12,000 students. The computer science program offers both BS and MS degrees
and has more than 230 majors which includes 80 graduate students.
