Be an ‘end-to-end owner’ of software services spanning technology
boundaries Work on every part of the stack: database schema designs, Java
and PHP services, rich JavaScript applications and server configurations
Deeply understand user pains and needs, in order to build better solutions
Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
Write production-ready code and unit tests that meet both system and
business requirements Help support operation of services in production
Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues and ad-hoc
questions Work with multiple teams to deliver quality software -
Requirements:
Experience building and operating large-scale, high-traffic Web applications
and customer facing Web services Serious experience with the following
technologies – Linux, PHP, Java, Javascript, JSON, MySQL Familiarity with
the following technologies – Apache, HAProxy, memcached, RabbitMQ, Kestrel,
MongoDB,Hadoop Experience with test driven development Able to balance high
quality development with pragmatic and rapid delivery of products
Skills/Personal characteristics:
Extremely productive contributor with a get-it-done attitude Able to assess
when to use what tool in order to solve a problem Good communication skills
Work well in a highly collaborative team Want to work in an environment
where software engineers are not just cubicle coders but full participants
