The Radiation Biophysics Laboratory at Stanford University invites
applications for a visiting scholar position in Biophysics or in Biomedical
Imaging. Our lab focuses on novel imaging approaches for the precise
characterization of biological processes, either in vivo or in vitro. We
work closely with the other divisions within the department of Radiation
Oncology (Radiation Biology and Clinical Radiation Therapy), and with the
Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford. The candidate will be part of a
project to develop a novel platform for the analysis of molecular processes
at the single-cell level. Stanford University offers an exceptional
environment for scholars who want to further their skills, and many
opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research.
Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree in bioengineering,
electrical engineering, applied physics or related field, and have
experience in one or more of the following procedures: optical
instrumentation, data acquisition, image processing, radionuclide imaging (
PET or SPECT), computer programming, and numerical simulation.
Qualified candidates can apply by sending their CV and a short statement of
research interests to the email address below. Candidates who currently have
external funding will be given extra consideration.
