Job Description
ReneSola America has an exciting opportunity for someone looking to move
into a mid-level management role, as we search for a product marketing
manager, based in our San Francisco office.
• The candidate, who will report to the Director of Marketing, will
have an appetite for success and desire to make ReneSola’s portfolio of
upcoming product launches wildly popular and unforgettable.
• The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how to
effectively research key markets, what to look for, and the methods by which
to penetrate them.
• The product manager will be tasked with learning our competitors
’ strengths and weakness and how to most effectively position ReneSola’s
product message to gain market share and become everything our competitors
could only hope to be.
The candidates we will consider:
• Will have a proven track record of channel development and
strategy, based on their own primary research to determine market size and
demand driver
• Will have experience with market research and new product
launches and introductions
• Have a basic understanding, and at least some experience,
creating SWOT analyses, content market requirements documents (MRD), and
content for product requirements documents (PRD)
• Will be a team player and have some experience working in
marketing and coordinating between product group(s) and marketing/sales
personnel
• Be capable of dissecting, understanding, and recommending
marketing content promoting the value proposition of ReneSola’s products
which include, but not limited to, solar PV modules, inverters, battery back
-up/storage systems, LED lighting, solar mounting solutions, and other
energy efficiency and renewable energy products
• Is capable of preparing and presenting market reports, strategic
and tactical plans, and other presentations to ReneSola management
• Will have some low to mid-level management experience generating
mid- and long-term strategic plans which include editorial calendars,
product training schedules, advertising, and product launch events
• Will be able to understanding moderately technical products,
including their features and benefits, and leverage those into impactful
marketing collateral
• Will be a team player, take direction well, work independently,
and have a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality to get down in the trenches to
get the job done, which may mean occasionally working outside of your daily
responsibilities
Requirements:
• Four year college degree (BA or BS)
• Some product management and/or marketing experience
• Ability to work in an open office setting among peers
• Computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
