Ph.D. student positions at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering of New York University.
We are seeking highly motivated Ph.D. students in the area of biomedical
engineering for translational medicine, starting in Fall 2014 or Winter 2015
. The potential graduate students will work on research projects related to
biomedical devices and biomaterials for disease diagnosis and treatment and
may require close collaboration with medical school. Research directions
include exploring new engineering solutions for emerging problems in cancer
biology, systems immunology, and stem cell-based regenerative medicine. For

We are looking for graduate students with Mechanical Engineering or Material
Science backgrounds with demonstrated ingenuity, productivity, and ability
to work in a diverse, high energy environment. Candidates with backgrounds
in biomaterials, micro/nanotechnology, microfluidics, tissue engineering,
cancer biology, stem cell biology and immunology are preferred (but not
required).
