This position is primarily responsible for supporting the research and
implementation of LED phosphor materials synthesis, processing,
characterization, instrumentation and equipment by performing the following
duties. Initiates the development, execution and implementation of
technology research projects. Investigates the feasibility of applying
scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products.
Plans and executes applied research. Maintains substantial knowledge of
state-of-the-art principles and theories, and may contribute to scientific
literature and conferences. May participate in development of patent
applications. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research
efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides expertise in phosphor engineering-- design, process,
optimization and scale-up.
Develops and optimize new and existing processes to achieve cost
effectiveness and improved product quality.
Carries out various materials and application R&D Research and
development experiments.
Carries out all relevant testing to characterize the materials/
process.
Performs scale-up experiment for mass production.
Assists the manufacturing operation in problem solving with regards
to equipment/process.
Ensures ISO compliant documentation and controls are establish and
maintained.
Summarize tech data and provide verbal and/or written reports.
Maintain maintenance of lab and equipment. |
