Responsible for developing the next generation of cloud-based services to
support our customers.
This includes, but it is not limited to:
Focus on web content categorization through our automatic classification
engine
Manually identify the categorization for the web sites
Creating and enhancing tools to analyze large quantity of data
Work closely with our researchers to enhance our machine learning based
systems
Work closely with Quality Assurance and Technical Support teams for
debugging, trouble shooting
Requirements:
2+ years Java and C programming experience, focused on server side
development
2+ years of software development experience in a Linux environment
Hands on experience using heavily multi-threaded code. Experience with
distributed systems a plus
Familiarity with in Perl/Python ,and the ability to quickly prototype tools
to extract information from large data sets
Previous experience with large data sets (TB) a big plus
Experience with SQL DB and non-SQL DB, Mongo preferred, a big plus
Experience with Hadoop/HBase is a big plus
Strong analytical and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work on a dynamic environment
Team player, can-do attitude and take initiative and extra responsibility
Education:
MS or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Math or equivalent
