Arlington, Center on Stochastic Modeling, Optimization, & Statistics (
COSMOS). The selected candidates will work with Dr. Wang with full financial
support. The research areas will be on Data Mining, Machine Learning, Big
Data Analytics, Statistical Learning, Healthcare/Biomedical Informatics,
and Bioinformatics. Graduate students with strong quantitative background

Postdoc Associate Position is open now in Data Mining/Health Informatics/
Bioinformatics. The postdoc position will be working on the healthcare data
mining and informatics projects collaborative with UT Southwestern Medical
Center and University of Washington Medical Center. The candidate may also
obtain an affiliate position from UT Southwestern or UW Medical Center.
Starting Date: as soon as possible. The postdoc position can support for 2
years (or more).

Program and School Information: COSMOS is conducting world-leading research
in Big Data Analytics, Data Fusion, Pattern Recognition, Complex Systems

PhD graduates are popular and highly demanded/highly paid in the US job
market. Recent Ph.D. graduates of COSMOS at IMSE Department got jobs in
United Airlines, American Airlines, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Amazon,
BNSF, CSX, General Motors, Expedia, Washington University in St. Louis (
Business School Faculty), etc.
Located at the heart of the US fourth largest metropolitan areas (Dallas/
Fort Worth Area), the IMSE Department at UT Arlington is very strong in both
world-leading research activities and strong industry support and
collaborations. With great resources and Texas state support, the department
is one of the fastest growing IE program in US. As of 2015 Spring, the IMSE
department at UTA has 48 PhD students and more than 400 master students.
Currently, if industrial support and funding accounted, the IMSE program at
UT Arlington is one of the best ISE programs that located in big cities. The
IMSE graduates are popular in US job markets.
School of Engineering of The University of Texas at Arlington is ranked 90th
in the US News Best Engineering Schools. The University of Texas at
Arlington, a comprehensive research institution of more than 36,000 students
and 2,200 faculty members in the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It
