NetSuite (a division of Oracle) is looking for a hands-on Software
Development Lead to work on the NetSuite Platform Team tasked with
supporting our Product teams to handle the needs of the over 40,000
businesses using the platform globally. In this role, you will work closely
with a Product Owner to define requirements, provide technical direction and
drive projects to completion in an Agile Environment. You take pride in
your work and this motivates you to take responsibility and ownership over
your projects. Better yet, you’re a JavaScript expert, who is experienced
in back-end JavaScript development, e.g. NodeJS.
Responsibilities
Developing high quality software in a collaborative environment, working
side-by-side with cross-functional teammates in an agile environment
Building framework for the internal developers as well as exposing internal
capabilities to the end users as APIs
Programming in Java, as well as participating in code reviews.
Use JavaScript to build complex logic that is not related to UI
visualization (Optional).
Acting as a mentor and coach to a team of high performing Software Engineers
.
Proving service to other internal teams which are in remote locations. Be
able to communicate clearly and project manage cross-team initiatives.
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in computer science or equivalent
8+ years software development experience with 5+ years in Core Java
Experience with backend JavaScript is preferred
3+ years SQL experience, primary database is Oracle
Have application development project lead experience
Understanding of modern web applications from database to user interface.
Understanding of HTTP, Internet protocols, Web browsers
Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts
Knowledge of Design Patterns, Object Oriented Programming, TDD and SOLID
principles
Experience driving projects executed by a team of engineers
Experience with Test Driven Development
Agile SCRUM experience
API development a plus
Experience in development of platform for building or extending cloud
applications
Enterprise business application development experience |
