Job description:
1. Develop and improve methods for Cannabis potency on HPLC
2. Develop and improve methods for Pesticide testing for medical use
cannabis safety using Chromatography (gas and mass spectrometry)
3. Develop and improve methods for Residual solvent testing for medical use
cannabis safety using Chromatography (gas and mass spectrometry)
4. Develop and improve methods for Heavy Metals testing for medical use
cannabis safety using Gas Chromatography
5. Develop and improve other needed methods for medical use cannabis safety
required by State of California and ISO accreditation
6. Work on developing and improving extraction methods for medical use
cannabis safety testing
7. Work on developing unique and proprietary collection device for sampling
medical cannabis for safety and potency testing
8. Serve as a scientific and technical director in troubleshooting and
improving testing
9. Serve as Research and Development (R&D) scientist for other needed
scientific projects
10. Perform bench work and testing as needed
Reports to Laboratory Scientific director
Requirements:
PhD in Chemistry with specialty in analytical chemistry
Good knowledge in chromatography, especially HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS,
Experience in Gas and Mass Spectrometry
Been creative and innovative with good communication and writing skills
