Research Scientist (Quantum Dots)
Job Description
Saphlux is a spin-off company from Yale University focusing on materials
solutions for next generation display and lighting. The company developed
the first mass-producible semi-polar GaN wafers and is now providing
materials solutions to industry customers. Our team is now seeking a
Research Scientist with quantum dot application experience to apply our
current technologies into innovative display applications including Micro-
LEDs.
Summary of essential job functions
• Participating in day-to-day materials lab operation, including
prepping, conducting, and analyzing experiments.
• Collaborate with oversea R&D team to track and review the
technical progress.
• Prepare presentations covering research plans, progress, and
accomplishment.
• Coordinate and work with industry partners for product
development.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and skills
• MS in chemistry with three years of related work experience or
PhD in chemistry or electronics.
• Advanced knowledge in QD solution-deposition process (spin-, drop
-, spray-coat, inkjet, etc.)
• Other valuable skills include experience with semiconductor
materials.
• Knowledge in display technology preferred.
• Self-motivated, dynamic, and a quick learner.
Physical requirements/ travel
• Occasion international travel may be required.
