I'm an international student from China studying in New York right now. Well
more precisely I'm from Sichuan, where people are known for liking eating
spicy food. There's a popular saying among Chinese students studying abroad
that "Lao Gan Ma (Old Auntie or something similar) is the goddess of Chinese
students overseas ~". Funny but true!!! When we are not used to other non-
Chinese food yet, we totally miss the taste! With this chili sauce, it's
like being at home again. But the price of this on amazon is incredibly
expensive, back in China, it costs less than ONE US DOLLAR! Oh... I miss
China and Chinese food!!!

I loves me my Angry Woman Sauce! I have no idea if this is authentic but it
just tastes "Chinese" to me. Can't get enough and confess to eating right
out of the bottle or finding something, anything, to use as a "delivery
mechanism". Yum!

This stuff is dangerously addictive. You've been warned. I was trying to
find chili oil at the local Asian market and was disappointing with my finds
. I wanted something similar to what I got at the Szechuan restaurant. Well
I then came across this and was please with the reviews then purchased two
jars. SO GLAD I DID. It is oil based, however, is jam packed with crispy
chili flakes filled to the top. It does have some tiny peanut pieces that
are crispy toasty, yum. The heat is very notable and smooth. It is quite
salty, also. Great condiment!

Spicy Chili Crisp is amazing, I had a friend recommend it to me and will
definitely be buying more of it in the future.
It's got a good bite to it and has lots of crisp pieces and peanuts for
crunch, and has a wonderful umami saltiness.

I have been a hot sauce aficionado for more than 50 years but I have never
found a better one than this. Mixed with a small amount of white vinegar it
makes a perfect accompaniment to pot stickers. The crunch adds interest to
the captivating flavor and the heat is just perfect. There are other great
hot sauces; Marie Sharp's Habanero Sauce comes to mind, but Lao Gan Ma is in
a class by itself. I can buy it for $2.39 in a local Chinese grocery so it
is very economical but I would pay a whole lot more for this masterpiece.

Lao Gan Ma is some of the most delicious stuff to come out of China. It's
crispy, it's a little smokey, it's spicy, it's oily, it's good on almost
everything.
But, you can't pay these prices for it. Find a local Asian grocery and you
can get it for $3-4 a jar. Only if you live out in the boondocks should you
pay as much as these online dealers want.

I have at least 20 different hot sauces, this is by far the best one. It's
been described as sophisticated- I'd agree. There chili oil, bean and chili
flakes (doesn't taste like there's any beans in it at all though), and
peanuts, which work together perfectly. The spice level is also great- not
the lasting habanero style burn, but more of a warm smooth heat, comparable
to milder Siracha.

The wife loves it. However, I received the last order with the top loose and
the liquid all spilled out in the box.....a mess. I sent a notice back but
no one contacted me to thos date. Will not use this company again unless
this is corrected.
