A Los Angeles city councilman is proposing to name one of the city’s major
roads after former President Obama.
City Council President Herb Wesson is looking name a 3.4-mile segment of
Rodeo Road after Obama, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
The part of Rodeo Road that could be named after the 44th president is known
as “president’s row,” and includes several streets named after former
presidents George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
The road was also where Obama made one of his first 2008 presidential
campaign spots.
"When they talk about his first official campaign stop in California, it’s
going to be in an area that’s off a street that we named after him. That
will live on longer, after me and him," Wesson told the paper. | n****4
