Here is the problem with the Chinese, based on my experience. They latch
onto a product or a process, designed by others. They copy the shit out of
it...in multiples. Then they crank up production. BUT....they don't
understand the underlying principles of why this is that way, or that is
this way. I've worked with a few Chink engineers. Very well educated. They
could modify plans, etc...on the laptop faster than a blink. But the had no
underlying knowledge of " why " the copied machine we were working on did
this or that. From my standpoint...they were fucking useless tools. ZEro
original thinking. There was no " depth " of knowledge. Hard to explain, but
I think it comes from stealing tech and process....and not developing it
organically.
I remember constantly thinking...I'd hate to be a Chinese astronaut.
So...they've got steel making overcapacity in spades,..and the product is
generally, compared to other advanced economies....junk.

That's my experience, too.
But the Chinese are getting better at rapid speed. It is a vital part of
their strategic master plan to send thousands upon thousands of Chinese
students abroad to gain the insights and knowledge to understand the
processes in all sorts of areas and not merely to copy them. 10-20 years
yout you will see a vast improvement in Chinese understanding of high tech
processes. Another twenty years out and China will be top notch and actually
leading in the development. Their proigress is absolutely stunning. Talk
about riding along a learning curve within a learning curve.
The Western world is asleep at the wheel and completely off-guard regarding
this strategic threat.
It does offer certain strategic advantages if you can control and direct
armies of people the way the Chinese can. |

engineering 很厉害，如果战场上武器装备被共军共军缴获，马上就能被复制出来。
那么我想，reverse engineering 的先进技术，至少我们是领先的吧。

发帖数: 2565 | 25 搞笑，这种言论其实就是人云亦云，老美媒体成天黑中国，总说中国人没有创意，所以
这种傻逼也自以为是，我们公司里马工哪里有几个人能自己写出framework的，又不是
google，全公司过去20年写过最简单的framework的就两个，一个就是老中，还比那个
老美写的好多了去了。最后用了几年都换了industry standard的。
做个马工哪里有必要需要懂底层的东西，都是网上找找sample code抄抄就够用了，但
就是这个抄抄的本事，99%的老美也不会，还笑话老中？傻逼loser而已。
现在要说自己创意，其实AI里面的大牛，现在就是stanford的李菲菲，然后百度也有自
己的framework，好像叫什么paddle，但是老美肯定是竭尽全力要压制老中的，所以要
想看到老中在底层dominant，必须是国内的公司在市场占有率上先超过FLAG这些公司才
行。 |
