driving under the influence after he admitted to officers that he had
consumed drugs and alcohol, according to Fairburn police.
Kevin Tirrel McCorvey, 34, of Marietta, was arrested and booked into the
Fulton County Jail on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree
homicide by vehicle, felony involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct and
multiple traffic offenses, online jail records show.
At the scene, McCorvey admitted to Fairburn police officers that he had
smoked marijuana, taken Adderall and was drinking a beer while driving the
ambulance, according to a police report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-
Constitution.
The wreck happened about 7:30 p.m. along West Campbellton Street near
Golightly Street, the Georgia State Patrol said. Fairburn police officers
who responded to the scene found the ambulance overturned in a ditch.
At the time, it was transporting 66-year-old Wilton Thomason Jr., a non-
emergency patient who was unrestrained in the back. He was thrown around
inside the ambulance as it rolled, Fairburn police spokesman Deputy Chief
Anthony Bazydlo said. Responding officers attempted to give Thomason first
aid, but a second ambulance crew pronounced him dead at the scene.
After emergency medical personnel determined Thomason had died, Fairburn
police called in GSP troopers to continue the investigation, the report said
. As they waited for the state troopers to arrive, McCorvey and his
ambulance crew member attempted to call an Uber to leave the scene. The two
were told to stay, and the responding state troopers performed a field
sobriety test on McCorvey before placing him under arrest.
The second member of the ambulance crew was picked up by the owner of the
private ambulance service and allowed to leave the scene, according to the
incident report. | H********g 发帖数: 43926 | 2 吃adderall是为了考试吗?
