have to be argumentive/talktive/agressive. Good lawyers are very careful
about what they said, i supposed? plus oral argument is a very small portion
, if not at all, of an average lawyer's practice. I feel the steorotype fits
B-school ppl better, just from my personal experience. (not that there's
anything wrong with it)

专业的MS一样去前十名的FIRM. INTERVIEW我的人也有一些是生物或者生化的MS.
我觉得,作为入学前的考虑,楼主提到的那个关于LSAT分数的衡量更有道理.当然LSAT的
分数是可以提高的.

难了解的更多了,也考虑到了很多以前没有注意的方面。不管我最后的决定是什么都谢
谢你们。其实我并不是特别想做IP,我最感兴趣的是最不可能做的civil right :-) 另
外我有国际贸易的经验,这个方面可能也是个选择。我会好好看看你们推荐的书,并且

The two principal reasons are:
1. Assuming you want to do patent law, being a scientist, the fact that you
don't have a PhD degree will instantly put you at a disadvantageous position.
2. Law firms are a swim-or-sink environment. Inevitably, you will be under
enormous pressure. If

(at home, not under a ideal situation also). I feel I have a legitimate
shot at 170 next June. If I spend about 15-20hrs a week on it till June,
would you think that score will be significantly inflated for the aptitude
test purpose?

that I should also use LSAT as a aptitude test rather than just an entrance
test. He basically thinks that I should go for it if I score 170+ and
forget about it if I score under 165. Any comments on his theory?

e***a 发帖数: 32 | 32 不知道别人怎麽样啊,就说说我自己的情况吧。三四十名的学校,工科背景,英语跟广
大留学生比呢比上不足,比下有余(可能还偏下多一些),性格绝对算内向的,我不觉
得法学院非常难念,一周60小时绝对能很好成绩的读下来(如果你不是像我一样经常一
边看书一边上网的话)。这一两年市场非常好,我们学校的成绩中等偏上的一般都能找
到大所的工作。但是的确bio领域的IP如果没有PHD的话会比较难因为所有的candidates
都是PHD,你说employer会怎麽选。当然你打算做litigation的话学位就不是问题了,
但是litigation对于你的个人情况来说更不太现实。我建议呢就是找IP boutique一般
会让你什莫都做,你进去以后只要能证明你能写专利,学位就不再是什莫大问题了。
我非常同情你太太,希望她早日康复。我觉得你英语不是太差的活(如果第一次LSAT就
能上160,那简直是很好了),法学院一定是能读得下来的,工作也是一定能找到的(
如果市场不再crash一次的话),但是最大的问题时以后的工作。你得问问你太太以后 |
