related jobs -- which school weighs better if one has very high area ranking
in the area that I'm interested in and the other has a good overall ranking
(20-30)? I don't want to move anywhere and the surrounding schools only offer
these limited choices. So which one is better? Or it doesn't really matter
because you will end up with a job anyway and it's your job performance that

concerned, it's not very competitive. (they think wash u. is just a medical
school--even though its b school ranks not bad--but certainly not in research)
of course, it really depends on yourself.
By the way, what's the use of usnews ranking? Certainly it's not very
applicable in most chinese students' cases. Of course, if you just want to
tell people in China "I went to a top 10 university in US", that's a different
story.
