天总算去了趟学校，在mailbox里发现了买书通知，但是卖书的地方已经关了:(
明天去Borders把那本小说买来看:)
又跑去那个专门的assignment board,果不出所料，第一节课的reading已经下来了。想想
上学期开学的时候一堆人围着抄压抄，真是可笑。成天的垃圾mail,重要的通知反而用这
种low-tech的方法传达。这个怪rule一直存在的原因估计是每学期就一次，以后老师就给
schedule了，complain的频率不够。
又要开始忙了，真希望一年就毕业，实在来不及两年也行啊。结果是拿着两个需要N年才
能拿到的doctoral degrees还不能随便自称Dr,省得人需要急救而你能做的是说“我不是
那个Dr.":) | o****e

There are so many stupid things about the US law school system and teaching
method, but somehow it just doesn't change, even over 200+ years. many things
look extremely archaic in the eyes of someone from scientific or engineering
world.

beginning of last semester and guess what---they also have to do the same
thing:) I guess law schools really keep tradition well.
I was talking to a partner who probably makes more than 0.5million/yr and was
very surprised that he still uses a 14'' CRT monitor. Money is unlikely an
issue. My PhD adviser who makes 140k/yr uses two apple cinema displays. I
think it is a reflection of the general attitude in their respective
