current circumstances? | D**********s
发帖数: 320 | 3 I talked to the adviser of the financial aid department today. They said
the school is having a really difficult time finding funding resources for
incoming students. They try to help the current students first. So many
loans programs have been canceled by banks and nobody is lending to foreign
students.
It's impossible to find a co-signer in this economy, too. The risk is too
great. If you couldn't find a job or get laid off, which is not a remote
possibility, your cosigner is on the hook | C*****8

1, private institutions were happy to lend to foreign students w/ good
credit w/ no co-signers;
2, top law schools had so much endowment they offered huge amount of need-
based assistantship, which can cover up to half of the tuition;
3. many students were able to find high-paying jobs even during the 1st
summer. The summer pay covered a big chunk of their tuition/living expenses
for the coming year;
4. some law schools even offered $ for students doing non-paying | x**y
