If the individual buyers now make up a smaller portion than before, the
increase in car price is more likely due to higher price paid by non-
individual buyers. Think about the extreme cases: 25 years ago it was all
individual buyers paying $5k each for a car and today there is no individual
buyer but the non-individual buyers are paying on
