行，不知道如果我用学校教务处带公章的信封自己从美国寄可不可以呢？
还有推荐信，原来理工科phd出身的前辈是用谁写的呢？今年下半年刚有转行的念头，
根本没有legal field的经验，也不认识什么人。现在的phd老板估计也够呛，lab的人
申绿卡他都觉得耽误了为他干活的时间所以拒绝写推荐信的，更别说我这转行的了。不
知道找系里其他老师还有本科老板写的算不算。。。

1. Absolutely not. Not only LSAC clearly stated that they will only accept
transcript from the undergraduate institution, they also clearly stated that
they will decline all transcripts sent from individuals. The language is
unequivocal and don't try to bend the rules, it's self-destruction.
2. My PI and the chairman of my thesis committee wrote the recommendation
letters. It's not ideal to ask someone else to write the letter, it'll raise
a flag. I would recommend a prepared conversation with your boss about your
plan for your own future, and how his support will be a significant factor
during the process. Be sincere, be honest. But if you think it's unrealistic
, then seek alternatives.

1. Your personal experience can not guarantee the success of replicating
this obvious wrongdoing. It's highly possible you went under the radar.
2. The biggest fallacy is that you failed to state the purpose of you
sending your transcript. Did you send it to LSAC? or did you send it to
other type of admission committees, for example, business schools or
graduate schools. If your experience is not related to law school
application, then it's lethally misleading.
And OP, my advice is to not take any chance and ask a friend to mail it from
China.

推荐信找了原来的老板和现在的同事。
你申请11年秋季入学的么？这个好像动手晚了点吧，貌似现在不少人都开始接到offer
了。能用快件的就都用快件吧。

发帖数: 370 | 27 国内成绩单的话，你可以请国内的朋友去学校办好。所谓办好，就是让学校分别在中英
文成绩单上盖章（如果学校提供英文成绩单翻译更好，如果没有，你也可以自己翻好，
拿去给学校盖章），lsac有一个 transcript request form，我印象中也是要放到成绩
单的信封里的（不过你double check一下）。此外，学校要在装成绩单的信封封口盖章
。如果学校不提供邮寄服务，你可以麻烦你朋友从国内寄盖章封口的成绩单，回邮写学
校地址（理论上，这是小钻了一个空子，因为LSAC也很难一个个去查证邮寄这个实际动
作是由学校还是个人作的，反正回邮地址都是学校的。）
推荐信的目的是让熟悉你能力的人对你的能力作出评价。如果你在这个lab呆了很久，
但是没有lab PI的推荐信会有点奇怪。当然，如果你可以找到其他很相关的推荐信也可
以，有的学校也只要一封就可以了。所以只要是跟你有一定接触，而且可以就此对你的
能力作出客观评价的人就成，所以professor, intern mentor什么的都成。推荐信都会
写得天花乱坠，信的credibility很大程度依赖于推荐人是否真地了解熟悉applicant。
不过说到底，law school is a number game。 |
