钢琴老师，
结果老师说policy规定要给六周通知，而且是从9月12开始的六周。。
policy里的确有这么一句话：
Cancellations: Please give six weeks notice to the teacher if the student
decides to stop taking lessons.
但也没说不给会怎么样。
还请对法律比较懂得朋友建议下，如果我ignore她这个六周规定会不会有问题。本来要
是从今天开始6周也就算了，她要求9月12开始感觉太霸道。

Program offerings: XXX Piano Studio offers a program of house concerts,
informal concerts, auditions, and recitals for students, as well as
information about upcoming events, workshops, and performances, pianos for
sale, etc. Computer software programs and digital technology are used as
tools to help achieve well-rounded musicianship such as sight-reading,
rhythm, notation, theory and ear-training. She also offers relaxation and
injury prevention techniques through interactive lesson video taping and
other teaching methods. It is hoped that students will avail themselves of
as many of the offerings as possible to broaden their horizons and help them
enjoy music throughout their lives. These many opportunities allow
students to maximize their potential, and give special value to the program
fees.
Payment: Payment is by the semester unless other arrangements are made.
The fall and spring are each 16 weeks long, and the summer is 10 weeks long;
the three sessions include 42 weeks of lessons. The entire fee can either
be paid at the beginning of the sessions, or it can be paid in two, three or
four equal installments due the first week of the month. If choosing the
installment plan, payment by pre-dated checks or by online bank payments are
greatly appreciated. Any returned check fees will be assessed to the
student’s account for reimbursement. Refunds or credits will not be given
under any circumstances.
Deposits: Music deposit fee - A music deposit fee of $50 ($75 for students
participating in the National Guild Auditions) will be paid annually for
music, supplies (including a metronome if the student does not have one),
etc. given them during the course of the year. An accounting of how this
money was used will be sent via statement at the end of the year, or sooner
if the amount has been significantly reduced. Annual deposit Students who
wish to continue lessons for the following school year (ie., 2011/2012) will
pay a nonrefundable deposit of $50 by June 2011 which will be applied to
the spring semester of the following school year (ie., Spring 2012). The
deposit entitles continuing students to the first priority (over incoming
students) in requesting a lesson time for the 2011/12 school year. Once a
student has paid the deposit, they will automatically be enrolled from one
session to the next unless notice is given.
Fall semester fees:
45-minute weekly lesson: $40
Cancellations: Teacher’s missed lessons will be rescheduled at a mutually
convenient time during the year. Additionally, the teacher will make up all
lessons missed due to inclement weather. If a student finds they cannot
use their lesson time on any given week, a phone call or email to let the
teacher know would be most appreciated. Please give six weeks notice to
the teacher if the student decides to stop taking lessons. Any outstanding
charges for music, etc. will be paid to the teacher prior to ending lessons.
Summer lessons: It is recommended that students take lessons throughout the
summer in order to progress more quickly. However, if this is not possible
, students who wish to continue taking lessons for the next school year will
take a minimum of 10 lessons over the course of the summer of 2011 (between
May and Sept. 2, 2011). These lessons will be scheduled on an individual
basis allowing for summer vacations and personal schedules, etc. It may be
necessary to have more than one lesson in any given week, and/or some
lessons longer than others in order to complete the required time commitment
during the summer session.

teeth. You may be in breach of the contract by not giving 6 weeks notice,
but I don't think they can penalize you for that.
If you have big deposit in your account, they might try to hold it, and it
would be troublesome to go through the legal process to try to get it back.
But other than that, I don't see any big concerns | b******r
