发帖数: 65 | 1 后天面……背景PHD+2 year industry, EE下比较小的一个方向,无patent firm的
intern, 之前木有修过课，自己有2 patent和很多paper.因为location的关系，直接
onsite了，木有电面，所以没底会问什么问题啊
3人面，associate, tech spec,还有一个consel(这个职位和partner是什么关系?)
除了research,还会问些什么？
research在讲的时候，是要具体到技术细节，还是侧重于objective和结果？

patent law?"
a counsel is usually a senior attorney who couldn't make partner.
you need to talk about your research in very simple language a layman can
understand. one important skill all patent agents/attorneys should have is
to explain complex technical matters in simple language. Never go into
details or data unless someone specifically asks for them. Just say I did
such and such and the result proved such and such... Make it interesting.
If you can tell your research as a story in a way THEY can tell their
friends after this interview, you are successful. |

Did u prepare a few slides for the interview to tell the stories? Or do u
think it's better to just tell without the slides (this is in real case
right?)
So besides research, what else do they ask, behavior questions only?

发帖数: 2115 | 4 同意二楼的，肯定会问为啥转行，而且这也是人家最关心的。
不需要准备slides，不需要特别准备technical的东西，communicaiton is the key，
要让他们感觉你沟通无障碍，看上去有做律师的潜质。
另外，强调你会写，理解力强，知识面广，什么都懂。。。 |

强调写，除了发很多paper以外，还有什么可以侧重的吗？
知识面广，review 很多paper算一个例子么。。。
还有为啥转行，感觉也就说5 min而已，说不了特别多。。。
另外如果解释转行，说自己patent file过程中，agent技术不是很懂是不是过于
negative 了？看老帖有前辈这么说的。。。

可以说自己很喜欢写，相比于其他的（比如coding，推公式）。
可以，也可以说自己的research虽然是做XXX的，但自己别的方向也都懂，比如YYY,ZZZ
，越广泛越好，当然不能胡说吹牛。
这个其实是最能自由发挥的地方，多想想，至少挖掘出3-4个可以说的point，每个要能
够展开说上一段，再加上和面试官的互动，轻轻松超过5分钟。要注意从自己的实际情
况出发，不要胡侃，要让人觉得你说的很诚恳而且make sense，是经过深思熟虑的结果。
不清楚，感觉问题不大吧。
