and none is hiring)

US firms won't directly apply for patents before the SIPO;
Passing the patent bar of China won't automatically allow you to practice as
an agent, you have to go through the one-year training under the
supervision of a licensed patent agent, which is required by China's Patent
Agent Association in order to be licensed; this means you even can't hold
out yourself as a Chinese patent agent;
Last but not least, most US lawyers simply don't care at all
Moreover, it takes much more time preparing for China Patent Bar than the US
one
I spent at least 250 hours on it in addition to my four years' work
experience

发帖数: 1022 | 5 That is a tough one, chem bio legal market is staggered right now with very
few openings. DC marker maybe is slight better than other major legal
markets. You probably have to suck it up and hold on to your current
position. Just don't get your hope high when looking for new jobs.

发帖数: 186 | 7 I am not sure how long I can work for this attorney. It is like living in
horror. I don't think she wants to keep me too long. She was reported to
the HR because how she treats me by other LAAs and a paralegal. She got
spoken to by the IP group leaders. After that, she becomes crazier. She
probably wants me to quit. I just hope I can find a job before the day I
quit.
