told that I am being laid off. The reason I was given is no sufficient
salary to cover my funding. I know I can file a OSHA discrimination
complaint but I don't know what I can get from it. Could someone with
experience kindly advise?

It is just me. After I mentioned possible lawsuit, I have not received the
formal letter of layoff. Maybe they are having a second thought. I will
update with more information later.
