过合成和分析。 猎头要我写个 Cover Letter，要详细写明 “Why Law？” 对我来说
， 药厂职位很难找， 也不喜欢作科研， 写报告什么的倒能耐得住性子。猎头希望我
能写的有 passion 一些， 面试的时候肯定会问这个问题。 可对我来说， 只想有个养
家糊口的工作。
想问问做这行的前辈们， 面试的时候一般怎么回答这个问题？ 真需要一个很 “高大
上” 的 回答吗？

(1) I enjoy the intellectual challenges of research, but I am somewhat tired
of lab work;
(2) I would like to expose myself to a large variety of new technologies,
not solely focusing on a rather limited area of research;
(3) I would like to expand my horizon and meet more interesting people...
The head hunter's suggestion is somewhat silly, you are looking for agent
positions - so the question is "why patent prosecution," not "why law?" If
you do have the intention to become a lawyer, say something like:
(4) I am intrigued by the interplays of competition, monopoly and
development...
(5) I find it intricately fascinating to debate over (some case, e.g. gene
