律行动。因为加州法律有时略显奇葩，我担心加州的法律对我特别不利。请大家帮我支

The vehicle was in much worse condition than you described (you explained it
just needs an oil change but the mechanic told me urgent repairs alone will
cost over $5000, and that includes engine timing belt, new wheel struts,
and engine oil leak fixes and many other things).
Recently I found out the mechanic you took the car to in 2015 already told
you of these problems, and you were made aware of such repairs needed for
your car. This showed that you were aware of these issues prior to the sale
but you've told me at the time of sale that you did not know of any repair
needs, which means you sold an item under false pretenses, which is a crime
under the Californian law, and it is considered as a fraudulent sale under
false pretenses. This is considered a felony in United States, and you can
face fines and imprisonment for this crime. I am not entitled to give you
your legal options and explain the specific legal codes that apply to this
case, so please consult your lawyer on options you have.
Under an recommendation from my legal advisors I am about to file a lawsuit
against you on these premises, but they also recommended that we settle
before we go to court over this sale. Hence I am offering you 2 weeks from
today (March 29, 2016) to respond to this letter to reach settlement deals.
Again, please respond to this letter by April 12, 2016 to avoid facing legal
actions.

you of these problems, and you were made aware of such repairs needed for
your car. This showed that you were aware of these issues prior to the sale
but you've told me at the time of sale that you did not know of any repair

关于这个mechanic check：
那是之前的一个买家叫我去做的，他付款，我只是把车开去然后也在现场。报告出来之
后他和我讲价，没谈成，于是我就没卖。检查出来的的报告我也没要copy，因为那时我
急于把车卖出去，所以没在意报告的内容，没想到车有5000块钱的毛病。我当时根本不
关心我的车需要做哪些repair，也没在意任何需要repair的地方，也没有管他们要检查
结果的copy，所以我心里也不清楚车的毛病。那个买家以mechanic check的结果和我讨
价还价被我拒绝了，于是车没卖掉。最终我还是不知道车有哪些毛病，因为修车师傅和
他们讨论的时候我什么都听不懂，当然最主要的是我不在
乎，我只是想安安静静的把车卖掉。
然后几个月后我的车卖掉了，卖给了现在的这位新的买家，又过了几个月新的买家查到
了2015年的那次mechanic check的结果，于是给我发了上面的邮件。他的结论是：我知
道车的毛病，但是我告诉他车没毛病，于是我有罪。
我没在纸上写车没毛病。我口头上告诉过他车一定有毛病，因为已经是十几年的旧车了
。但是具体说过什么记不清了。
我担心的就是他以我“事先知道车有毛病却告诉他车没毛病”为理由起诉我。
交易的时候，车的title不是salvage。我已经把titel什么的给他了，他也去DMV转完了
手续。我该交给DMV的东西也交过了。我这里有bill of sale存底。请问我该怎么回应
他呢？
关于bill of sale:
我是打印的加州dmv提供的bill of sale，然后在某一行的末尾我手写了as is这两个单
词。但是这俩单词旁边我们没有签名，而只在最底下签名了。
另外请问哪里有律师服务？欢迎推荐。
没想到这车有这些$5000的毛病，我觉得买家有点吃亏。我有点圣母婊，不希望他遭受
很大的损失，所以现在想取消交易，只要我不损失任何钱就行（包括手续费）。我只需
要把车拿回来，把钱还给他，我不用付任何手续费之类的。所以也想请律师指点一下（
当然我这就损失律师费了，搞不好比车还贵）。另外我也担心其实修车不需要$5000，
而买家只是想占个便宜，所以更应该找律师handle一下。但是看大家的意见是没有律师
会接这位买家的案子，那我估计更不会有律师理会我了。这可怎么办，真担心自己搞不
定如何取消交易却又不受损失。 |
