spoken with English subtitle. It follows the Chinese poet Yu Xiuhua who
suddenly became famous. It weaves her poems with her daily life, her
struggles, her sudden rise to fame, and the ending of her marriage. The film
is so real and it definitely gives me a different perspective than just
reading her poems.
The PBS version is shortened to 53 minutes. The full length version can be

话说最让我感慨的是,她家吃饭真丰盛啊,天天有七八个菜和一大锅汤。很多菜是自己
种、新鲜采的。她做那么多农活,又那么熟悉和喜爱植物(动物写得多吗?片子里引用
的诗大都是庄稼;当然更多的是心理),很给她精神的寄托和表达的途径。
还有,这个id好眼熟,大概以前在别的版见过。
