H********y 发帖数: 311 | 1 I like Nicholas Sparks' books. The way he writes about love stories like no one before. Over time, one by one, I finished all his books. Ones I loved the most are < the Notebook>, , , , < Choice> and this one, < The Lucky One>.
The way NS portraits love, which I call "subtle, yet significant!", touched my soul, every bit of it. Maybe some of the stories I could relate to, or you could relate to. No extra words need to use, sometimes just a gesture, a look, a gasp....could manifest the connection between the two characters.
You might say: " Wait. That kind of love only exists in novels."
I reply back to you: " Silly. It is everywhere, just it might be short or you have never noticed it."
Our ability to understand and deal with love increase with age. I could't speak for you or others. In my own shoes, I know that is the case. Sometimes having the desire of wanting it doesn't mean to have it. Let the best keep inside and bury with you. Agree with me? If you do, I bet you would love to read < Night in Rodanthe> by NS or watch the movie by Diane Lane and Richard Gere.
NS's novels are filmed into many movies. i watched all of them, normally I think movies are never as good as the original writing. But I have to be honest, those movies are great! the Lucky one is going to be in movie theater in April. I look forward to it. Consider it as my V day present to myself, a delayed one. : )
Happy V day to you!
I love that line-"You should be kissed every day, every hour, every minute." | wh 发帖数: 141625 | 2 又提到notebook和diane lane了,呵呵前面好几个帖子提起过。同祝同祝。
