发帖数: 505 | 1 Anyone is using Fedora 11 x86-64? Just curious, when I used
the 32 bits version, it seems a new update of something
comes up every couple of days. But since I installed the
64 bits, there's no update come up at all in a week.
Not even immediately after the system was installed (which
means there had been no update in several months).
Is this normal? Or must there be a mistake in my yum set up?

Those are installed. However, the problem is not the demon.
Even when 'yum update' it returns 'no packages marked for update'.
I also clear yum metadata and same.

why you suspect it is not working?
one way to double check is uninstall a package, yum localinstall an old
version package and see.

This is NOT normal if you installed f11 from dvd iso. It should be normal
for internet install.
Maybe your yum isn't updated. Try to run "yum update yum" first then "yum
update".
