发帖数: 2999 | 10 so I just ran a backup on my Microsoft Windows Home Server, I got this error
message:
"Server backup of folders aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd to hard drive *** succeeded
with 1 failures"
I guess their IT technicians got the same message when backing up their SAN
containing T-Mobile user data and then got confused....

这个事最精彩的部分是sidekick没有local backup, 所以如果你reboot的话，所有数据
都是从'cloud'抓过来的。而且t-
mobile和danger/msft不提供和电脑sync的软件 (有第三方的付费软件)。
叹为观止！

“In preparation for this [SAN] upgrade, they were performing a backup, but
it was 2 days into a 6 day backup
procedure (it’s a lot of data). Someone from Microsoft (Roz Ho) told them
to stop the backup procedure and
proceed with the upgrade after assurances from Hitachi that a backup wasn’t
necessary. This was done
against the objections of Danger engineers.

like dirt cheap now, even say, buying some 30 pcs of 2TB hard drives at
local Fry's is better than no backup at all...
