干脆每次新 apps 出来，就出个 update
觉得出够了 update 就出一个新版
硬规定半年一个 release 纯属商业公关需要，对质量没好处

debian 的问题是太多太杂更新太慢
比较理想的是按 Ubuntu 的软件库尽快出更新，出 bugfix
不要光强调半年一个升级版

目标是尽量少出 buggy 的版本，但新版本比较 buggy 也是意料之中的
有时候新 feature 多，bug 也多，所以应该多出几个 bugfix 版

再进一步问个与时俱进的问题, 关于你说的与显卡驱动有关的xorg-x11-drv-intel包或者类似的包现在应该在哪里查找？
我已经在Synaptic Package Manager中找不到xorg-x11-drv-intel包。
我又在运行 cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "xorg-x11-drv-intel"也找不到它。

I don't have any experience with ubuntu, but i figured it should be similar
to fedora.
You can use some commandline like apt-get to list *xorg* to find out which
one has intel, or i810 (for fedora9)...
