I'm a 1099 contractor. Typically 1099's rate is higher than w-2's. Coz W-2's
employer should pay something like unemployment insurance to government (I'm
not sure the federal or a state). If you finish your W-2 contract, you can
claim UI. But after 1099, you have nothing but just to find a new job.
I still like 1099. You can claim many expense in your income. For example,
you can buy a PC and claim it is a tool of you job, so you can save tax from
