will lower the value but I had vinyl floor in my house and after 10 years
some area started to fade its original color |

水。

发帖数: 1471 | 9 laminate is durable and easy to clean. my friend has it in the kitchen for 9
years, since they moved in in 2001---- floor still looks new. good choice!
just make sure you wipe it if you spill. |

发帖数: 4125 | 10 You already said it yourself, since it is cheap price, you can always change
it later on if you don't like it.
Just you know laminated flooring are built to be one time use only, they can
not be refinished a few times like real hard wood flooring. So either cheap
disposable floor or more expensive but longer lasting floor, your call.

我看朋友家9年的laminate跟新的一样，在过10年根本不是问题。
唯一担心的，既然是man made，以后的款式月来越多，怕不耐看。 |

Why, at most it will be the cost to rent a floor sander if you don't want to
buy one and some polyurethanes. That is all you need to refinish the floor,
I would say it is much cheaper than putting down new Pergo.

发帖数: 4125 | 14 Can you find me an AD that shows you can buy Pergo for $0.99 per sq ft. I
have never seen them so cheap here in east coast. But refinish your floor is
much less than that per sq ft especialy if you are doing a very large area.

ones I could find cost about 79-89c/ sqf. the expensive ones can cost more
than 3 dollars/sqf. The kind i bought - laura ashley is towards the
expensive end, the store clerk said it is a top brand and was on sale, it
has a life time warranty (other brands usually has 10-30 year warrantly).
After finish the floor looks very nice -- like real wood, the surface is
very hard, scratch resistant. |

Laminated floor 没有倒角，拼接处有时会不平，光脚有时会感觉有个边在哪。花纹单
一，死板。Laminated floor 表面不怕水，但水会顺接缝流到下面去，下面是纤维板，
见水后会泡胀。 |

发帖数: 3318 | 18 当然，有水什么地板都不好，engineered hardwood 也一样。但hardwood 干了以后会
恢复原状，而纤维板泡胀之后，不可能恢复原状。
我是这么理解的，不知对不对？

real wood.
