s***2 发帖数: 240 | 1 We have made an offer on a house ($39,000 lower than the list price), our
buyer agent said the seller agent is waiting for another offer coming in, so
she asked us to give our best offer.
One thing is we can not verify if another buyer truly exists, another is we
have to raise the price again without getting a counter offer from seller.
By the way, shouldn't we get an official response from seller agent after 24
hours? What we got is a
email forwarded to us from our agent which said the owner th | l***s 发帖数: 259 | 2 is this house fairly new in the market? it's most likely bluffing. If I were
you, I would say
1. you never bid against offers, so that's it. (see, they could have just
given you counter offer and i am sure you will add some. When seller's agent
bluffs like this, it often has negative impact on their negotiation room,
if you don't buy their crap, especially in this market)
2. you have to move on at some point, so they need to let you know if they
take your offer or not in a couple of days. see th | s***2 发帖数: 240 | 3 The house was listed before, the seller reduced the price and re-put it on
the market. The owner moved out one year ago.
We told our agent a higher offer price(not officialy on paper), she told us
the seller has countered another buyer but did not get reply yet, also, she
suggested us to wait because another buyer may already offer a higher price
than our new price. The reason she gave about not getting response from
seller within 24 hours is the seller agent tries to keep us in the game to
