ceramic tile you get from HD is low end, ceramics you get from stores like
ann sacks will be much higher end.
Mahogany refers to many dark hardwoods, some are low end (domestic), some
are middle (also called exotic hardwood, such as from brazil).
True highend hardwood floor cost hundreds dollar per sq ft, you will not
want it in your house (if you sell, others can not even see their value)

been to a few houses that the home owner love the tile so much, they use
tile everywhere.
In colder area, underfloor heating along with tiled living room floor is
very comfortable (much better than you can imagine), one advantage is fast
heat recovery, if your kids opened the front door for several min, as soon
as you shut the door, the living room can warm up very quickly, the
