HOUSE #1: Foreclosure house, built in 1996, 2,950 sq foot. 3 side brick.
Offer accepted at $355k. Based on market prices for the same subdivision,
the house should be able to sell at $420 to $450 at least (County appraised
value for tax purpose is $499k)
Pros: It has a nice level backyard.
Close to work, about 13.5 miles. 2 miles away from a very big mall.
Very convenient location.
Schools are 10, 10, 10.
HOA is $900 annually
Cons: House is not in move-in condition. Needs a lot

We do have a third choice. That is house #3
HOUSE #3: Regular Sale house, built in 2003, 2,850 sq foot. 3 side brick.
Offer accepted by seller at $393K. The appraised value by county is $388k
and we did a separate appraisal coming out at $375k. Property Tax is around
$4k to 4.5K.
Pros: House is in good move-in condition
House faces north. Both kitchen and high ceiling family room are very
bright.
It has a very nice, level backyard back to a public park. You can see
the park trails fr

Do you like the house? Or you just want to find a good deal? If both, you may never find one. Just ask yourself if you will be happy live there.
Too much analysis, maybe it is time for your husband to make the decision. haha
