For incomes other than salary, that would be exmpted from the state tax.
Also, no sale tax...sweet.
The housing price is lower in NH than Mass.
Any difference in between Nashua and Hudson? How's the school there? I have
kids at kindergarten age, and glad to learn that Hudson finally offers
public kindergarten from this year.

1. Like Roserocky said, your other income may be exempt from MA income tax,
but your wages are still taxed by MA, even if you live in NH.
2. Sales tax is really an incentive, but again, you can choose to live in
the border towns like Groton/Dunstables/Westford to get the convenience of
shopping in NH. MA is taking actions on this, for example, for example, the
tax return form asks you to cough up voluntarily the sales tax you owned,
but I don

Hudson is a little bit far. But buy house at Both Nashua or Hudson maybe
not a good idea, you have to pay 2% property tax(I was renting a house
when I was there and went to work at MA). 03062 of Nashua elementary
school is a good one. But South Nashua High is just so so. Sales tax is no
difference at MA or NH since most people will go to NH to buy and food is
not taxed at MA.

| r*******y 发帖数: 19 | 6 So, sounds like buying home at NH while working at Waltham is not a very
good idea. Thanks very much for the comments, and please share more if
anybody has more thoughts/suggestions.
I have no idea of the housing price at Waltham or north of that region (my
impression is that the homes are very expensive in MA). For a 250-300k home
what would be the tax?
Living in MA, are there any other additional taxes besides the state and
sales tax?
Thanks,
