You don't have to run 24 hours a day. I run mine total 2 hours
a days, 10 min each, spread into full day.
You need pump to filter and remove algae also mixing the water.
Add liquid chlorine depends on your CYA level.
There is only one thing hard about DIY pool maintain, just need
to figure out the chlorine and CYA level relationship. The rest
is very easy. It is the most worthwhile DIY things you can do.
Now that I have a perfect lawn and perfect swimming pool, I can
say that, lawn care actually IS much harder.

发帖数: 72 | 3 至少把cover盖上，不让树叶小动物掉进去，这样会干净很多，另外也能大大减少
chlorine的消耗。
除了chlorine之外，还要加algaecide. 我建议你去店里买Winterize kit。
夏天比冬天消耗的快很多，你需要定时补充chlorine和algaecide.
加chlorine时，除了那种粉状的，还要加那种圆片的。粉状的是速效的，过几天就没了。
圆片的是缓释。注意别直接放池子里，要放个专门的浮漂里。

more tab and xxx cide.
The best way to keep algae away is just keep your chlorine level
according to your CYA level. Do not, I repeat, do not use the power
or tab chlorine, that will shot up your CYA level in a long run
and make your pool unmaintainable.
If you keep your chlorine level correct, you don't need algaecide
at all. That is bad for you if you swim in it any way.
For my case, have the cover up in winter actually easier to get
algae because the cover will trap water can leaves. It is harder
to clean leaves on the cover. So the water trap on the cover and
easier to start algae and get into the pool. Plus have cover
make it warmer as well. That is the only one time I have to shock
my pool in my history of pool maintaining.

For the cover part, I'm afraid i have different opinions.
First, if you don't put the cover in there, the leaves and rain water will
just go into the pool anyway. Plus, for many people who're using the type of
cover that can holds up an elephant, no leaves will be trapped there at all
.
Secondly, in summar, pool cover will keep the pool cooler, cause it blocks
sun light.
Thirdly, the sunlight destroy the chlorine very fast.

Yes, but my pump is connect to a vacuum robot, if it is in the pool,
the robot will take care of that.

OK, if you are talking about run on cover, sure. But that is
a few thousand. FYI, I don't think many people have that.
I haven't seen one myself, while I have seen many solar covered
pool. I am talking about the solar cover just flow on the surface.
That is like $100 - 2$00.
You really have no idea do you? Pool cover will dramaticlly reduce
water evaporation at night, which is by far the No.1 reason your
pool get cold.
Second.
It block some sun light, but it will absorbed the heat, it turn
into the heat, then get into into water.
Yes, that is what CYA are for.
Last, if it is covered, you are less likely to see it.
You are less like to know there are some algae going on. You don't
discover it until it get very bad. It is much harder to control than
you see some thing early on.

about was for seasonal closing, which applys to LZ's case here since she
doesn't plan to use the pool at all. The cover is made of nylon net. It
allows heat out and air through, while blocking sunlight.
The one you talked about is solar cover, which I have too and only use in
summar. It's mainly for keeping the pool warmer.

没告诉），这个是不是要请专业人士来检查之后才敢开阿？游泳池现在少个drain
strainer,有
些叶子在那个地方，这种样子泵不能开吧？
眼看一池子水越来越脏，可又没时间请人来看，不开泵先加chlorine对付个一两个月能
行吗？
没有cover,游泳池是个腰果形的，请问两位提到的100-200块的cover，买的时候需要量
好游泳
池尺寸吗？这种cover是不是不能防止人掉进去吧？

最好找个懂行的评优帮你看看。不行去 trouble free pool 的 forum
上面 post 很多很多照片，然后 ask for help. 那里的人都很热心的，
我也是那里摸爬滚打出来的。
pump 前面有 filter 的，可以试试。如果不行赶紧切断。一般问题不大的，
进树叶是很常见的。
不好，不开 pump 容易损坏你的东西，chlorine 浓度太高会腐蚀东西的。
最常见的是 filter grid.
大致量就可以了，回来自己裁。这个你先不要买了，买了现在也用不上。
等你都会搞了然后再考虑买。我说过了，便宜这种不能帮你省打扫的，
更加麻烦。

你如果确实没时间搞明白这些东西，就不要开泵，或请人来弄。
池底杂质太多的时候，不应该让水经过过滤系统，而是先直接排放一阵。filter上的
switch可以控制水的流向。这个在北方更为重要，因为关池的时候有许多防冻液在管子
里，不先排掉会需要很长时间调节水质，很麻烦。
如果你是为了防止脏东西掉进池子里，你不应该用solar cover,那个是保温用的，不是
用来干这个用的，而且有安全隐患，人落水后很容易被trap住，比没cover还危险。比
较合适的cover是我前面说的那种，透气，防日光，防人落水. like this: http://www.looploc.com/

你说的是不是 back wash 啊。
我个人觉得直接排放没有什么用，树叶什么的首先是卡在 pump
前级的那个网兜里，排也排不出来的。
如果池子里有很多树叶的首先是要捞。 pump 可以从上面的那个
口进水，所以不用很担心池第的树叶堵。而且 pump 都是设计给
可以挡住树叶的。
LZ 又不是 opening the pool.
还是那个建议，要不找人给看看，要 DIY 有没有朋友看的话赶紧拍些照片上
TFP. 搞清楚 pump 的管道是如何运着的先。还有赶紧买个 TF100 test kit.
肯定要用的。
