According to the sales person, Bosch along with most other European
manufacturers make their DW internal space smaller than American ones
though
the external dimensions are the same. Here's something I observed: for
all
Bosch DW it's too easy to push in the front panel, and you can push in
quite
deep. I understand that panel is nothing important, but it gave me a
cheap
feeling. I ended up with KitchenAid appliances. Among all of them, the
dishwasher is the most satisfactory. My model is KUDE70FXSS. It's quiet
like hell. The only sound I can hear is the water draining. It's just as
good as my friend's Miele one which at least doubled the price of mine.

get the answer that Bosch is the best brand with the best quality in the
market. I accidentally went to someplace that didn't sell Bosch (or at least
didn't use Bosch for display) and asked about this branch (with a
particular model), and I was told that even they didn't have it, Bosch
dishwashers are the best.
That being said, the other major American brands have higher end appliances
that are in the same price and quality ranges with Bosch, e.g., GE Profile.
Still different models have different features, you cannot compare just the
brands, but also particular models.
Just some suggestion: go to some big name store (or on-line), compare the
features of the product first, and their dimensions (yes, some models cannot
fit to you counter), then ask around here with most focused question. |

Maybe this brand is for the super rich? None of the 'low end' electronics/
appliance store has it.

specific, the knobs' axis is not perfectly aligned with the holes on the
front panel. I think it's ridiculous considering KitchenAid is not a low-end
brand.
no comment on the microwave. we only use it to heat up stuff, so it does
everything a microwave does.
my wife insisted on getting a simple two-door bottom freezer fridge, so we
didn't have many choices. i suspect mine could be a re-brand of some Amana
one i saw in home depot. well, not exactly, I got deli tray, but everything
else looks exactly the same. bottom line is it works well.
