更新更新，昨天和我们indpector通了电话，他说builder告诉他我们有ridge vent，但是他觉得不work所以没有写在我们report里面。现在就是不知道怎么检验ridge vent work 不work，我们builder不承认不work. |

A correctly installed attic fan does not 漏, actually cheap roof (like 3 tab

居然做屋顶时不做这个）
班上好像有人做home inspection的，他们可能知道要多少钱

差这一个.当然你也不能说builder错,确实多一个洞,多一点漏的可能.attic fan不一定
非要屋顶打洞,如果有侧面墙,也可以打洞装风扇

pick a hot day, go up to roof top, put your hand close to the vent, see if
there is air blow out.
or, simpler, after a hot day, before sunset, stand underneath your eave, see
if you can feel the air comes down from soffit vent.
or, simpler, call inspector again, ask for the specific reason he has with
his claim.

通过，所以他认为不work.如果真的不work，怎么修呢？

builder对话的时候也没有听懂，昨天打电话给inspector才知道原来有这个ridge vent。

the vent, you should find a contractor /roofing expert /city inspector to
get a second opinion on it. Or go up to the vent yourself.(but be safe) You
can also ask your inspector to put his opinion in written. Otherwise he
should refund your inspection money for making a misleading report.
The thing is, you'd better not pointing fingers at builder until you can be
certain that the vent is "not working". What you want now is their cooperate
to solve the potential issue, not their apology of the (might-be) mistake.
