(Reuters) - Former Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYS:GS) Director Rajat Gupta was
ordered to pay a $13.9 million (9.1 million pounds) penalty and banned from
serving as an officer or director of a public company for having illegally
passed corporate secrets to former hedge fund manager Raj Rajaratnam, a top
U.S. regulator said on Wednesday.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said the order was issued
earlier in the day by U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff in Manhattan, who also
oversaw Gupta's related criminal trial.
Gupta is appealing his June 2012 conviction and two-year prison term for
having fed confidential information he learned at Goldman board meetings to
Rajaratnam, a former billionaire who ran Galleon Group.
再过两代，海外华人可能也玩不到这水平。老印在欧美金融行业大公司高管层面的势力
是根深叶茂的，而且也团结。比如，搞内幕消息传递的这两个。其实，那个层面的人不
就靠这赚钱么，谁不搞呢？
而华人的段永平和赵丹阳就知道买巴菲特的饭局，令天下人耻笑，还加上以此为荣地挂
嘴边“巴菲特对我说... ...”
