发帖数: 1879 | 7 Origination fee = lender underwriting fee + agent commission
lender underwriting fee will be different for different lenders.
agent commission is usually 1% of loan amount, but it will depend on how
broker set up the commission level with the lenders. Most of lenders will
offer 1% commission of your loan amount, some might be 1.25%, 1.5% or even 2
%. How much the commission level set up will depend on the loan volumes/
lender polices...etc
so there is no such fix number for the percetage of the origination.

发帖数: 1879 | 8 YES. loan agent commission is tied with your loan amount. Usually it is 1%
of loan amount, in yoru case, the commission will be around $1500. within
this $1500, $500 will be processing fee for processor. And the rest $1000
has to split with broker company. So after taxes, agent might only get a
few hundreds for this loan and it will be hard to offer you credit at all.
In another word, you also wanna get no cost refinance, which means agent has
to cover your about $3000 closing cost for the refinance, which has to
increase the rate for higher rebate, otherwise, even agent work for you for
free, the agent commission still cannot cover your closing cost.
P.S, doesn't matter what your loan amount is, the work load is the same.
