if it's a major damage, then he's required to disclose it. you could ask
the insurance agency for the amount of claim to determine if its major.
At very least, try to determine if the repair was prompt and professional.
Don't rely on inspection too much. Inspector can only look at visible and
accessible areas. But it's the inaccessible areas that are usually damaged.
