This is my first complaint ever on bbs. I had always been a loyal customer
of Target Store until today! This was what had happened to me.
Target store address:
5300 S MoPac Expy, Austin, TX
Right after Christmas, I bought an expensive Christmas tree from this store
(7.5 ft. Pre-Lit Philips Balsam Fir Artificial Christmas Tree- Illuminate
Technology- Multi-Color Lights; original price $514). I bought it at half
price with Target red card and gift card. After I got home, I found some
small items missing. I went back to the store and they issued me a 10%
discount in Target gift card. In about FIVE WEEKS, the lights stopped
changing colors! So I took my tree in the original package with Target's
name on it back to the store. They told me they could NOT issue me a refund
since I did not have the receipt. I was blamed for not keeping the receipt
. I felt strange since they should be able to locate the transaction based
on the information that I gave them. I gave them the Target Red Card but
they could NOT locate the information. They denied me the refund. Instead
they gave me a $10 gift card. The next morning, I called Target.com
customer service and told them about my store experiences. I was given a
ref # for my case and was asked to go back to the store and have the store
people call customer service. I was assured that they could do something
about it. So I went back to the store and had the store people call the
customer service. To my greatest anger, Target customer service decided to
side with the store people. I felt humiliated and harassed! Why did Target
customer service asked me to go back to the store and assure me that they
could do something about it. I am a computer engineer. I know that all the
transactions should be kept as a record. I am surprised that this target
store couldn't find my transaction information in this day and age with all
the advanced computer technologies. I am sure they would have a way to find
the transaction if they wanted to. But apparently they didn't! I am very
disappointed at their IT or customer service!
Target product qualities have become major issue. Last year, the furnitures
I bought there had scratches! A bar stool was not able to have its height
adjusted! I have been gradually more and more disappointed at Target unitl
this one that became the last straw on Camal's back. I will boycott Target
from now on. This store is no longer what it used to be!!! |
