First of all, in this country, racial discrimination is held on a much
higher degree than freedom of speech. Don't trust
me, why don't you go to federal building and start yelling the n words and
see if government officials do protect you

Second of all, he did it on a public school's official site. Everything
posted on a moderated page of public school's
official page has to meet with schools standard and if something went wrong,
it is the school take the blames. That is
why ucsd has to offer an apology as an entity.
Thirdly, I don't know why people are arguing if this is a racial slur. Norm
chow, born in hawawii, halt japeness and half
Chinese, walked out of byu football, where he had coached 23 years, because
a vp used the word chinamen on some
chinese workers.
You can discriminate however you like in this country, as long as you don't
do it publicly. Othwise, political correctness
will crash you down. (obviously, this doesn't apply to us since there are
certain numbers of us won't get offended and
felt the needs to tell others it is ok to discriminate against Chinese)

First, are you referring Chinese should obey US consitution? May I remind
you freedom of speech is US only thing?
Taking a step back, why 64 is political incorrect? They weren't targeting
all "chinamen" nor "nxxxxx" nor "yanks". What
happened in ucsd has nothing in common with what happened in tiananmen back
then. NOTHING! If you have to draw
a comparison, try the harvard "man is smarter than woman" case. What is the
result? Oh right, the guy got fired and
his spot is taken by a woman.
Again, political correctness is a big deal in US, and other countries might
not give a damn. Just as Chinese won't give
a damn about US constitution.

Actually, I don't think we should have freedom of speech at all. We should
have a Limited Freedom of Speech. People
can only say words that are not sensored by the government or whatever
