我的租房合约是month to month , $800/month ($800 deposit),每月一号房租,合
同说好30天的notice, 我这月的十七号给的moving out notice (也就是七月十七号搬
走)。今天,收到房东的信说下月要收我 $50/day, 也就是说下月一号我要交 17 x 50
= $850 . 我个人的理解是我只要交 17 x (800/30) 就可以了。
房东这样涨房租的做法触犯了Lease termination and tenant rights 吗?我觉得押金
要不回来也就罢了,再交$850 就太滑稽了。
刚刚研究了一下 Lease termination and tenant rights , 觉得我这方面没做错。

Thank you for the 30 days written notice of moving out of XXXX,XX,CA, last day as of 07/17/2011.
As per our month-to-month lease contract of the premise stated above, this is also my written notice regarding your rent.Since it is no longer full month rent at the end of 06/30/2011, rent will be charged on a daily basis with the rate of $50/per day- Please give check on 7/01/2011 accordingly with days stayed until premises gets fully vacated, unless room can be showed to potential candidate, then rent will be discounted at rate of $40/per day.
Deposit will be refunded accordingly with conditions of premises delivered-10 days after moving out date- after full inspection of premises-
